Testimonials
"The first visit to Gurukula for me was like diving into the ocean for the first time. It made me realize that there is a whole new world that I did not know about in Yoga. Vijaya has put so much light not only on my yoga path but also my life- how I live this life. Vijaya made me realize everything CAN BE and IS Yoga. Being a student under a Guru is a special thing. Studying at the Gurukula under a Guru makes it even more special. I am forever grateful to Vijaya for allowing me to be his student and sharing yoga with us. Lots of love and respect to our Guru and gurukula."

"I studied asanas with Guruji in Mysore and when he decided to open a Yogagurukula in his native village Pandeshwar I moved there to continue my studies.. Living closely with him, observing, continuing my asana practice and doing the pujas in the temple effected me a lot. I learnt so much from him. Not only how to practice but how to live , how to become a better human being."

"By the grace of God Gurukula has allowed me to learn and practice Yoga under the guidance and support from my beloved Guruji, Vijaya Manja. Gurukula is a place like no other. There are certain things in life that cannot be expressed in words, trying to do so would be Injustice. Some great Yogi's have defined Samadhi as Permanent eternal pleasure. So as a beginner in the practices of Yoga and my strong desire to overcome suffering, and to be a more honest, compassionate person, then for me Vijaya's Gurukula is the best place to learn the art of Yoga. I truly feel blessed to be part of this wonderful family. Infinite gratitude to the entire Manja family, my Guruji, Vijaya his wife Bhavya and to all the students of Yoga. May all beings experience permanent pleasure.."

"Guruji Vijaya Manja is not only incredibly literate in yoga teachings and practice, but he has imbibed them and lives them in every step of his life. In his Gurukula an older, stiff, and limited lady like me can make tremendous developing jumps on spiritual path just by living with him and giving space and time to the various practises he gives while living in Gurukula with other serious practitioners..
Seeing ones own and the fellow students transformations is something behind the words, you can only come to Gurukula and allow yourself to Vijaya's teachings to experiment that. Guruji truly teaches from heart to heart. You only need to open your heart and everything starts to happen.
There is not many people in this planet who can carry the responsibilities of a spiritual master like Guruji does: so personally, so warmly and still giving to every single student what and when one needs, not only what and when one wants or doesn’t believe one is able to.. Quite a relieving miracles have happened to me so far. You can only come and see what happens to you here."

"Gurukula where we are staying is really something else! I've never been here before but it feels like home. On the outside you'd never think that though, everything is very simple, no hot water, wifi comes n goes, electricity comes and goes but I've never felt more satisfied. The people are incredible and i particularly love sharing meals together with these wonderful people, its really simple but so special. They say India changes the way you see the world and the way you see yourself. I didn't really understand that but now i do and it is definitely for the better."

"What it means for me to be Guruji’s student is beyond description. My words won’t reach there because I think you can only experience it. And by experiencing it you can learn how much yoga can heal you. All you need is a teacher like Guruji. He will walk with you through your biggest fears and help you turn that into your biggest growth.
For me, that’s beauty and I’m ever grateful I found my way to gurukula."

"When I visited Yogagurukula the very first time, I just knew I belonged here. Tears were in my eyes and my body was echoing of the ancient vibes of a something greater. In the first philosophy classes with Guruji I realized how little I knew about yoga or myself. That was a start for the journey more within, into the depths I didn’t know that existed in me. I once requested to be taught whatever is necessary to be more free. Little did I know of all the challenges that had to be endured and overcome. And still do. Living with my guru is the greatest teaching. Sharing the daily life as it is when births, deaths and many other changes unfolds while his pure and radiant presence carries through everything. All that I am today, is due to Guruji’s endless compassion and love, of countless hours he has invested. For that I salute and humbly put my head down to thank you, thank You."
